Original piece by Ryan Berkley.
Matted & framed in wood, 16.5″ x 13.5″

Johnny Appleseed loved two things: apple trees and animals. He traveled across America without shoes and wore rags for clothing, planting apple seeds and telling tall tales to children. His hat doubled as his cooking pot and he would often trade seeds for clothing. Although is it said that his apples were inedible, they were great for ciders.

Everyone knows and loves this giant lumberjack with a heart of gold and an axehead of iron. He is responsible for creating Mt. Hood by piling up giant rocks to extinguish a campfire and birthing the Grand Canyon by dragging his axe through the land.
-
Paul’s best friend and companion, Babe, is also a giant with thick blue fur and tremendous strength. Paul once dug out a massive watering hole for Babe that would later be known as the Great Lakes.

After Shake and Pecos Bill parted ways, he went on to pursue his childhood dream of reviving a western ghost town. “Serpentopia” is a bustling and colorful destination for all desert reptiles that emerged from a withered and dried-out ghost town in the middle of Texas. Mayor Shake has successfully protected Serpentopia from at least two dozen tornadoes since he built it. He is now retired and his sons Twist and Lash are in charge of strong-arming any and all atmospheric threats that may pass their way.

Being a world famous swimwear model is easy work for this sperm whale. What proves difficult, and sometimes impossible, however, is finishing his ongoing chess match with his highly respected, yet feverishly detested rival Henry Anchorhorn, the giant squid. The winner will, of course, receive the coveted Platinum Barnacle trophy.

"Joannie" by Ryan Berkley
Original piece by Ryan Berkley.
Matted & framed in wood, 11″ x 9″

Ms. Joannie Appleseed is a devoted historian who spends 3 months a year prepping for her role as her hero Johnny Appleseed during Johnny Appleseed Day in a small town in California. There she educates children about the importance of pollination by singing while juggling apples and giving out bags of apple seeds to everyone she sees. Saying she loves her job is a complete understatement.
