Come join us for our new workshop, Personalized Stitched Stationery! Create a set of personalized stationery using thread as a unique decorative accent. We will talk about paper– choosing card stock, envelopes & liners. We will use the sewing machine and/or hand-stitching to embellish our designs. The set make a great gift or keep it all to yourself. No experience necessary! We have met a few people shy of the sewing machine, but that’s why we’re here! To teach you! Sign up for T-shirt Quilting with Britta Folden of Queen Bee Quilts, and learn to cut, piece and design a cozy quilt out of your old t-shirts & sweatshirts. This two-part class begins on Friday, July 16th and we are looking for a few more students to join us! See the studio sewing section for details.

Tonight, July 9th from 6pm – 9pm, Assemble Gallery is mixing it up with music and art! Come see an array of useful art pieces by Erin Dollar of “I Made You a Beard” fame! Inspired by the recent resurgence of hand-printed textiles, Dollar has created a range of one-of-a-kind prints on fabric.

Also, make sure you are here to catch Bookkeeper, a Tacoma-based music project. Bookkeeper will be turning up the volume at 8pm with their avant-garde original songs plus some whimsical indie-rock covers. Be there or be square, folks.
